Product Description

The ELT automatically activates during a crash and transmits the standard swept tone on 121.5 and 243.0 MHz. It also transmits a 406 MHz encoded digital message to the Cospas/Sarsat satellite system, which allows for rapid identification and reduces search and rescue response time.

The C406 ELT meets the rigorous testing requirements of TSO C126 including 500g shock, 1000 pound crush and flame and vibration tests.

The kit can be provided with either the C406-N or C406-2 ELT, with or without a navigation interface. With the navigation interface, the aircraft latitude and longitude will be transmitted with an accuracy of 100 meters.

The remote switch panel is based on an existing Pointer Sentry 4000 installation. A programming adapter can be provided to retain the aircraft information in the event an ELT is replaced.

EASA and TC STCs are also avaialble.
