Aircraft lamps are exposed to extreme climatic and vibration conditions, which can result in short life expectancy and frequent lamp change – outs.

Amglo Kemlite addresses this problem head on due to its flexible manufacturing, which allows for off–line processes to be implemented that can greatly enhance product performance on aircraft.

Over the past years Amglo’s exterior aircraft lamps have gained significant market acceptance as Amglo has updated many of the outdated incandescent designs to Quartz Halogen technology.

The Q5559 Amglo’s new 600-watt Quartz Halogen Aircraft Landing Lamp is an addition to AMGLO’s comprehensive line of Quartz Halogen Sealed-Beam products that uses innovative halogen technology to last up to 12 times longer than the interchangeable standard incandescent lamps like the 4559.

 The new lamp has a life rating of 300 hours and even triples the life of its predecessor, the Q4559X.

The special coil and the design of the mount technology maximize light output and life, allowing for increased efficiency and decreased maintenance costs. Mind you a change out takes roughly 1.5 hours.

The replacement is a "drop in" replacement.
