Introduction

PMV Engineering (EASA DOA 21J.487) achieved TPED tolerance demonstration for ATR42 and ATR72 aircraft, thus allowing the installation of wireless IFE and the use of wireless devices for all phases of flight (including take off and landing in all weather conditions).

Your needs

The objective of the change is to demonstrate a Transmitting Portable Equipment Device (T-PED) on ATR42 and ATR72 Tolerance for the use of Wifi onboard by passengers and cabin/cockpit crews.

The T-PEDs usage is limited to WIFI (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless standards 2,4GHz and 5GHz).

Your benefits

The airline benefits is to prepare the aircraft for the use of Wifi onboard for all phases of flight. This can be done at any time before the installation of the WLAN system.

Our significant aircraft equipment database will most likely avoid additional testing.

Product Description

TPED tolerance on ATR42/72.

The analysis of T-Ped interference are based on ED130, DO294C and DO307 documents.

The T-PEDs usage by passengers in the cabin or by flight crew in the cockpit is limited to WIFI (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless standards 2,4GHz and 5GHz).

Other wireless connectivity standards (e.g. GSM) are not covered by this STC.

The T-PED Aircraft tolerance is planned to be demonstrated for all flight phases, including critical ones.

No equipment is installed within this STC.
