AED Philips Heartstart FRx 861304/Heartsine Samaritan PAD 350

Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) are becoming more and more commonly available in our daily life.

Recognized national health institutes in several countries currently advises these AED.

As a result of this, operators are requested by these health institutes to install this AED equipment on board of the aircraft.

Further AMC1 CAT.IDE.A.220 (b) (4) was issued with additional guidance, which is further detailed in FAQ n.19169, issued by EASA (https://www.easa.europa.eu/faq/19169)

 

Although the AED units are widely spread for civil use, DOA 160 certification for aerospace use is sometimes difficult to prove.

 

Fokker Services has successfully completed EMC verification testing on the Fokker 50 and Fokker 70/100 aircraft as well on a Embraer 170 and 190 aircraft with the following commercially available model AED:
