Installation of a Collins IDS-3000 Integrated Display System with IFIS-5000 Integrated Flight Information System and XM Data Receiver for model 1125 and 1125SP Astra aircraft, serial numbers 004-029, 031-072, and 074-078.

The IDS-3000 is part of the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 family. The IDS-3000 integrated display system consists of three 8" x 10" AMLCD (Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display) adaptive flight displays — two primary displays and an MFD. A key feature of the IDS-3000 is its IFIS which facilitates the digital display of XM NEXRAD weather and Jeppesen approach and navigation charts on the "glass" display panels. Displaying the XM NEXRAD weather, charts, altitude and airspeed on the new displays enhance safety by reducing clutter in the cockpit, greatly reducing crew fatigue by minimizing scan area. The IDS-3000 is also capable of displaying, in high-resolution, critical and essential symbology such as TAWS, TCAS, LRN and the technology required for CNS/ATM.

IDS-3000 and IFIS offer operators a cost-effective means to enhance aircraft with large, informative displays that increase situational awareness and increase operational value.
