Introduction
Existing TCAS II or TCAS 2000 RT-950 Computer Units equipped with Change 7.0 software are removed and replaced by TCAS 2000 Computer Units containing software for TCAS Change 7.1 functionality.
Change 7.0 software versions of TCAS II or TCAS 2000 RT-950 Computer Units, manufactured by Aviation Communications & Surveillance System (ACSS), formally Honeywell, are replaced by TCAS 2000 Computer Units containing software for TCAS Change 7.1 functionality. TCAS Change 7.1 changes the aural alert “Adjust Vertical Speed, Adjust” to “Level off, Level off.” In very low altitude situations, a “Descend” RA changes to a “Monitor Vertical Speed” aural alert with “Do Not Climb” vertical speed command
